(23) "I See You - God Sees You" – by Qene Jeffers

Oh, yes! I see you! Did I ever tell you what a wonderful blessing you are in my life? You are a blessing that I never, ever forget to thank God for. Yes, I’m talking about you.

I pray that you will gather up all those hard things in your life into one big bundle and place them at the Lord’s feet. You’ve been fretting and stewing because that is what you do. But God wants you to trust Him. Open your hands. Let go of all the things you can do nothing about. Let go of those things you cling to, and receive the rest that God has for you. Receive His blessing. But you can only receive if your hands are empty.

Why would you hold on so tightly to those hard things when what He wants to give you is so easy, so light? Ask Him to help you see things the way He sees them. Then you will give Him that burden you carry. Then you will release to Him all those things you are so careful about. Ask Him to help you persevere and not faint in the way. He is the way and the truth and the life. No person comes to the Father but by Him, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not lose hope. He is our hope. The hope of glory. He will only be as strong in you as you are devoted to Him. Why would you choose your strength over His? Yours is nothing. His is everything. It is only when you are weak that He is strong in you.

Ask Him to give you His peace. Did you know that He is our peace? The Prince of Peace. His peace is unfettered by the cares of this world. And when your mind is stayed on Him, He will give you everlasting strength. Strength to let go, not to hang on. All those hard things will still be there, but with His strength, they won’t seem so big. He will help you when you release them to Him. He is the strength of your life. Let your only stronghold be Him. Let Him carry that ugly, heavy burden.

Oh, yes. I see you here. And as you’ve been reading about Him, I’ve been praying for you.

Have a good rest, beloved. Rest in Him.

My dear friend…

Qené Manon Jeffers has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. She writes prose, psalms, prayers, and modern-day parables about her search for a peace that isn't fettered to daily circumstances and people. The kind of peace she's been looking for is only and ever found and bound in Christ. Qené is married to her childhood sweetheart, Pat. They have three children, ten grand-ones and two great-ones. Her favorite hymn is "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," and is in fact where God showed her the title to her first book, A Peace Unfettered ~ My Anthology of Faith. She is currently working on a second book, A Faith Unfeigned ~ My Anthology of Hope.
